Why did I receive more money than I withdrew?
Updated a month ago
You may have noticed that the amount you withdrew from your holding account had gone up by a penny or two once it landed in your bank. Don’t worry, this is normal.
Behind the scenes, all the sums of money you see on your account actually run to eight decimal places. This allows us to be super accurate when calculating interest. When we move your money between accounts, or when you withdraw from your savings holding account, we must round numbers up to whole pence, which is why you might end up with one or two more pence than you expected.
