Being pre-approved for our credit card means that we’re confident we can say “yes”, pending some final ID and fraud checks. We might still ask you to send us documents to prove your identity, income or bank account. This means there is still a chance that your application could be declined, even if you're pre–approved, if you fail these final checks.

To see if we can pre-approve you, we’ll only perform a soft search. Soft searches are only visible to you and not to other lenders. They won't affect your credit score.

If you go on to apply for our credit card, that's when we'll perform a hard search - even if we've pre-approved you.
