How do I update my personal information?

Below we’ve highlighted instructions on how to change your different pieces of personal information.

If you need to change more than one piece of information, please get in touch with us. For your security and to keep your account safe, we may need to ask for additional documentation to support multiple changes.

How do I update my phone number, home address or email address?

You can update these details directly in the app. To do this, simply: 

  1. Open the app and tap the person icon in the top left corner.

  2. Tap on your name to view your personal details.

  3. Choose the 'Update' button next to the detail you'd like to change – phone number, home address, or email address.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your new information.

How do I update the name on my account?

You’ll need to provide some supporting documents for us to update the name on your account. The documents you'll need to provide will depend on the reason for the name change.

For spelling corrections, please provide one of the following:

  • Valid passport

  • Driving licence

  • UK or non-UK national ID card

  • Firearms or shotgun certificate

  • UK residence permit

  • Armed Forces ID card

For legal name changes, please provide one of the following:

  • Marriage certificate

  • Decree nisi or decree absolute

  • Deed poll (must be sent with a passport or driving licence)

To send your documents and complete the update, please get in touch with us via chat. For security reasons, we’re not able to process name changes over the phone.

How do I update my contact and marketing preferences?

It’s easy to update your contact preferences on the app or our website, just follow these simple steps:

On the app:

  1. Open the app and log in

  2. Head to your personal details by clicking the person icon in the top right corner

  3. Select ‘Contact preferences’ under settings

  4. You can then select the types of communication you want to receive

  5. Hit the back arrow next to ‘contact preferences’ and you’re all done!

On our website:

  1. Open our website and log in

  2. Once logged in, click on your name in the top right corner and select ‘My Details’

  3. Scroll down to where you see ‘Your marketing preferences’

  4. Select which options suit your needs best

  5. Click ‘Submit’ and you’re all done!
