Will opening a Biscuit bank account require a credit check/affect my score?

When you apply for a Biscuit bank account, we run a soft search on your credit file to help verify your identity. This doesn't affect your credit score, and your score has no bearing on whether you're able to open an account.
Once your account is open, we report your Current Account Turnover (CATO) to credit reference agencies – a summary of the money paid into your account, which helps other financial institutions make more informed lending and affordability decisions. Like the soft search, this doesn't affect your credit score either.
