Zopa Account Refer a Friend Promotion Terms

1. Who these terms apply to

  • a selected Zopa account customer who has access to a unique referral link of this promotion in the Zopa app (“Referrer”).

  • a potential new Zopa customer who has been sent a referral link (“Invitee”).

  • Us: Zopa Bank Limited (the “Zopa” or “we”).

2. Availability

The promotion will be available and displayed on Referrers’ ‘Refer a Friend’ page in the Zopa app, while the promotion’s end date will be shown on the same page.

3. Successful referral

To qualify as a successful referral, the following conditions must be met:

  1. a Referrer must share the referral link with their Invitees before the end of the promotion (the referral link is available under the ‘Refer a Friend’ Page from ‘Profile’ in the Zopa app); and

  2. an Invitee must:

    1. tap on the referral link, input the mobile number they will use to open the Zopa account, download the Zopa app via the same link and then open a new Zopa account successfully; and

    2. open a new Zopa account within 30 days of submitting the mobile number via the link and before their Referrer reaches the maximum referral limit (10 people).

4. Referral payments

  1. Once the referral is successfully completed, through the above conditions being met, both the Referrer and applicable Invitee will each receive £10 credited into their Zopa accounts within 30 days.

  2. Referrers can earn up to £100 (where 10 successful referrals are made).

  3. Invitees can only earn £10.

  4. If either a Referrer or an Invitee closes their Zopa account before receiving payment in relation to the promotion, the person who closed their account will no longer be entitled to any payment.

  5. Neither a Referrer or an Invitee can exchange payment for an alternative reward, and we have the right to replace the existing reward with something else at any time.

5. Where you are a Referrer

  1. If you or each Invitee have not completed the referral successfully by the end of the promotion, neither you, nor an Invitee, will be entitled to receive any payment under this promotion.

  2. If an Invitee clicked on multiple referral links before opening a Zopa account via the link, payment will only be made to the Referrer whose referral link was clicked last.

  3. You must not use your referral link for any paid promotion or online advertising. We can freeze your referral link, stop rewarding you and your Invitees if we believe you have engaged in any fraudulent, abusive or suspicious behaviour.

  4. If you close your Zopa account before the end of the promotion, your referral link will no longer be valid.

6. Where you are an Invitee

  1. You must be a UK resident aged 18 or over who has not used the Zopa app or ever had any previous Zopa products, including a Zopa account.

  2. You must not be employed by Zopa.

  3. If you have not completed the referral process successfully by the end of the promotion, neither you, nor a Referrer, will be entitled to receive any payment.

  4. If you clicked the referral links from multiple Referrers before opening an account, we’ll only make payment to the last Referrer whose referral link you clicked.

  5. If the Referrer whose referral link you clicked last has reached the limit of successful referrals, you will not be entitled to any payment even you’ve opened a new Zopa account successfully.

  6. We’ll share information about your participation in the promotion with your Referrer.

7 . Making changes to this promotion

We have the right to change, suspend or end this promotion at any time. We’ll always look to give as much notice as possible if we do need to make any changes, including ending the promotion.

8. Additional Information

  1. We can’t guarantee that everyone who applies for a Zopa account will be accepted.

  3. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the English courts will deal with any legal proceedings arising in connection with these terms or your account.
