Bonus Savings Rate Challenge Terms

These terms set out the eligibility criteria for the Bonus Savings Rate Challenge (the “Challenge”) and how the Challenge works once you sign up.

The Zopa account terms and Smart Saver terms will continue to apply alongside these terms. If there's any conflict between these terms and the Zopa account terms and Smart Saver terms, the Zopa account terms and the Smart Saver terms will apply.

The Challenge

We will give you an additional bonus rate (the “Bonus Rate”) on top of the existing standard interest rate for all your easy access Smart Saver pots (excluding the Regular Saver and Easy Access ISA pots) each month for a year, if you pay at least £500 into your Zopa account each month.

We'll let you know the Bonus Rate as part of signing up to the Challenge.

Eligibility

To enter the Challenge, you must have an open Zopa account and Smart Saver.

Obtaining the Bonus Rate

Once you are signed up to the Challenge we will automatically apply the Bonus Rate to your easy access Smart Saver pots from that date for the first month, regardless of how much you deposit into your Zopa account.

After the first month of the Challenge, in order to qualify for the Bonus Rate each subsequent month, you will need to pay at least £500 per month (excluding transfers from other accounts you hold with us or refunds you’ve received) into your Zopa account. The monthly window for making payments into your Zopa account starts with the date in the month that you signed up to the Challenge, and interest will be paid on each Smart Saver pot in accordance with the Smart Saver Terms.

For example, if you sign up to the Challenge on 05 November 2025, you will automatically receive the Bonus Rate on your easy access Smart Saver pots from that date up to 04 December 2025. In order to qualify for the Bonus Rate from 05 December 2025 to 04 January 2026, you will need to pay at least £500 into your Zopa account between 05 November 2025 to 04 December 2025.

If we reasonably believe that any funds deposited into your Zopa account are the result of fraud or other unlawful activity, we will not be required to provide you with the Bonus Rate for any of your easy access Smart Saver pots.

Ending the Challenge

If you or we close your Zopa account and/or your Smart Saver account, your participation in the Challenge will automatically come to an end.

Once the Challenge comes to an end, you will no longer receive the Bonus Rate and your easy access Smart Saver pots will go back to the standard interest rate we offer on Smart Saver pots at that time.

Changing these terms

We may need to change these terms during the Challenge. If we do, we’ll rely on one of the reasons listed in section 14 of the Zopa Account terms.

 During the Challenge, we won't:

  • change the Bonus Rate

  • increase the minimum amount you have to deposit, or

  • decrease the length of time you’ll get the Bonus Rate.

However, we may reduce or remove the need to deposit a minimum amount of money into your account each month, with immediate effect from when we let you know.

We’ll let you know in the Zopa app if we change the terms.
