Both your Zopa cards – now on Apple Pay

Apple Pay is a fast, secure way to pay with your Zopa cards in-store, in apps and online. You can also use it on public transport without needing to unlock your device by setting it as your Express Travel Card. 

It’s completely free to use, and doesn’t store or share your card details. Instead, it uses a unique Device Account Number and a one-time passcode for every transaction, this helps keep your personal information protected.  

You get notifications for every payment (whether it’s successful or declined) so you’re always in the know. You can also view your transactions in the Wallet app.   

Unlike contactless payments, there isn’t a £100 spending cap for Apple Pay. However, the transaction and credit limits that apply to your Zopa bank account or credit card will also apply to Apple Pay.  

Once you’ve set up Apple Pay, here’s how to stay in control: 

• Make Zopa your default card 
  Open the Wallet app and drag your Zopa card to the front of your wallet. 

• View recent payments
  Open the Wallet app on your iPhone or Apple Watch to see your Apple Pay transactions. 

• Remove or re-add your card 
  If you delete your Zopa card by mistake, just open the Wallet app, tap the +, and add it again. 

Getting started is easy: 

• Open the Wallet app on your iPhone 

• Tap the + button 

• Follow the steps to add your Zopa card 

You can add your card to up to 9 devices, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Vision Pro and Mac. 

Need to use your card for public transport? 

You can set your Zopa card as an Express Travel Card, letting you tap in quickly on public transport (like TfL) without unlocking your device. 

• On iPhone: Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Express Travel Card and select your Zopa card. 

• On Apple Watch: Use the Watch app > Wallet & Apple Pay > Express Travel Card. 

How to make Zopa the default card 

Open the Wallet app on your Apple device and drag your Zopa card towards the bottom of the screen. When you release the card, you should see a message confirming that this has now become your default card on Apple Pay.  

How many cards can you add to a device?  

If you're using iOS 17 or later, there’s no limit. On older systems, limits may vary – check by going to Settings > General > About. 

Having trouble adding your card? 

If you see a ‘Card Not Added – Contact your issuer’ message, it usually means your card is no longer active and can’t be added to Apple Wallet. 

Accidentally deleted your Zopa card in your Apple Wallet?  

To re-add your card, simply head to the Wallet app and click the plus (+) sign.   

If your device is lost or stolen, log in to iCloud and mark your device as lost. This will stop Apple Pay from working on that device. 

If you recover your device, you can reactivate Apple Pay via iCloud. 

Apple Pay uses built-in security features – including Face ID or Touch ID – so only you can make payments.
