Why do you need to verify my bank account?

Before you can deposit or withdraw money, we need to verify that the bank details you’ve given us are for an active UK bank account in your name.
By only allowing your savings to move between your verified bank accounts and your Smart Saver, we can keep your savings safe and secure, while also complying with money laundering regulations.
Please note that you won’t be able to withdraw to a non-verified bank account, and if you attempt to pay in from a non-verified bank account, the funds will be returned.
