How do I update my operating system?

scheduleUpdated about 8 hours ago

To enjoy the Zopa app to fullest, we'd recommend using the following operating systems:

  • For Android:  Android 9 or later.

  • For Apple: iOS 15 or later.

How do I update my operating system?

For Android:

  1. Head to the ‘Settings’ section of your device

  2. Scroll down and select ‘System’ and then ‘System update’

  3. From here you’ll be able to see the upgrades available to you

For Apple:

  1. Head to the ‘Settings’ section of your device

  2. Select ‘General’ and then ‘Software update’

  3. From here you’ll be able to see the upgrades available to you

How can I check what operating system my device is using?

For Android:

  1. Head to the ‘Settings’ section of your device

  2. Scroll down and select ‘About phone’ and then ‘Android version’

  3. Here you’ll be able to see which operating system your device is running on

For Apple:

  1. Head to the ‘Settings’ section of your device

  2. Select ‘General’ and then ‘About’

  3. From here you’ll see which iOS version your device is running on

Why is it important to update your operating system?

Older operating systems that are no longer supported by Apple or Android can leave your device more vulnerable to security risks. They also prevent you from accessing the latest features and improvements – both in your phone and in the Zopa app.

That’s why we sometimes have to stop supporting outdated versions. Updating your system helps keep your information secure and ensures you can enjoy the full Zopa experience.

Unfortunately, some older devices can’t update to newer operating systems. If this is your situation, you’ll need access to a newer device which can run iOS 15/Android 9 or later to use our app.
