Zopa Bank and ClearScore welcome 22 founding members to Jobs2030 in industry-wide push to upskill 100,000 workers in GenAI

The UK fintech and financial services industry has come together to launch Jobs2030 — a new coalition aiming to upskill 100,000 banking and fintech professionals in AI and GenAI disciplines by 2030.

Founded by Zopa Bank and The ClearScore Group, the initiative now brings together 24 organisations spanning banking, fintech, academia, venture capital, education and policy in one of the UK’s largest coordinated industry responses to the rapid rise of AI.

A practical response to the rise of AI

The coalition officially launches today alongside the rollout of its 2026 GenAI curriculum, beginning with five training courses tailored to financial services professionals across operations, engineering, compliance and product functions. Up to 12 modules are expected to launch by the end of the year.

Hosted on the Zenarate learning platform, the courses integrate with leading AI models including ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude to power interactive coaching, live simulations and real-world AI training scenarios.

The initiative comes as AI adoption accelerates across the industry. Research commissioned by Zopa suggests GenAI could displace up to 27,000 financial services roles by 2030, while also generating major productivity gains and cost savings across the sector.

The programme is designed to help financial services employees build practical, employer-led AI skills that can be immediately applied within the workplace.

An industry-wide coalition

The growth of Jobs2030 reflects a shared recognition across financial services that AI upskilling cannot be solved by individual organisations alone.

The coalition now brings together partners from across fintech, banking, education, policy, venture capital and professional services to help scale adoption and ensure training remains aligned with evolving industry needs.

Members and supporters include Innovate Finance, the City of London Corporation, EY, NatWest, Allica Bank, Funding Circle, TechSkills UK, and leading Academics from Oxford University and Alliance Manchester Business School and many more, with support from HM Treasury.

A 13-member Advisory Council — featuring leaders from fintech, academia and consulting — will help shape the coalition’s strategic direction and ensure the programme remains aligned with the evolving needs of workers and employers.

How to join Jobs2030

Jobs2030 is a voluntary, ESG initiative and free for organisations to join.

In return for access to the curriculum, member firms contribute their own expertise by co-creating one AI-training module tailored to real-world financial services use cases.
